Earth Corps breaks free and forges an alliance with the Granites. Herc joins them in heading to D'Compose's territory, Skellweb, while Auger and Liquidator venture into Metlar's realm of Infernac. Meanwhile, Bright persuades the Redwoods to aid in defending the surface from the Inhumanoids' power grabs. Herc and the Granites manage to overcome D'Compose's resurrected soldiers and return Sandra to her normal state. Blackthorne trails Auger and Liquidator into Infernac, attempting to use his magnetic abilities on Metlar once more, but Magnokor thwarts the plan, leaving Blackthorne captured by Metlar.
