The protracted and costly siege of Boulogne ultimately ends in victory for Henry's forces, though it comes at a heavy toll in both finances and lives. With newfound energy and a sense of accomplishment, Henry chooses to forgo additional military exploits, opting instead to return to England as a celebrated hero.
