Regrettably, the Allied Forces were unable to seize the final bridge close to Arnhem, which undeniably turned out to be 'a bridge too far.' The Airborne Cemetery in Oosterbeek is the resting place for over 1,750 Allied soldiers who lost their lives during Operation Market Garden.
