At the power plant, a film is screened where the employees support outsourcing, prompting Mr. Burns to announce the plant's closure and the relocation of jobs to India. Homer, the last union worker still employed, is sent to India to train the new hires. His unexpected success leads to him being granted full authority over the plant, and he proclaims himself a deity. Meanwhile, Selma and Patty take Bart and Lisa to a MacGyver convention. When they learn that Richard Dean Anderson isn't as fond of MacGyver as they are, they decide to kidnap him. Anderson escapes but finds the chase exhilarating, voluntarily returning to be captured again. Eventually, the tables turn, and Patty and Selma find themselves in need of an escape plan.
