Brainiac journeys back from the year 2979 with the intent to eliminate a young Clark Kent, preventing him from ever becoming Superman. In response, the Legion of Superheroes dispatches three of their members—Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Chameleon Boy—to thwart his plans.
