Nowak stands nearby, having deliberately preserved his life—not out of mercy, but as a means to an end. Every bandage and treatment serves a single purpose: to keep Oczy conscious long enough to pry secrets from him. The air is thick with tension as the interrogation looms, and Oczy realizes his survival is merely a prelude to a far more brutal ordeal.
