As anxiety mounts, Julie reluctantly allows Mary to babysit Erica, setting the condition that Mary must not have any guests. However, when Frankie (guest-star Chyler Leigh) arrives asking for Mary's help with her baby, Mercy, Mary finds it hard to say no. This leads to Mary being discovered with an open beer while on duty. Meanwhile, Lucy steps up to supervise Ruthie's sleepover and care for the twins. Simon attempts to reinvent himself by getting his ear pierced, while Matt pursues a woman who is uninterested in him. Additionally, Eric and Annie confront Mary’s questionable friends.
