A florist arranges a date for Merton with a seemingly kind man—unaware that the florist and the date are the same person. This shapeshifter is secretly draining the life energy from people like Merton, causing him to age rapidly with each encounter. As Merton grows older and weaker, he must uncover the truth before the creature drains him completely, leaving him to die.
