Gene attempts to persuade Shannon that he prefers a low-key celebration for his birthday, but his wishes fall on deaf ears when Shannon and Paul Stanley plan an extravagant surprise party for him. The festivities, however, are threatened when Gene unexpectedly books a business trip for the same day as the celebration, potentially derailing their grand plans.
