As summer starts to settle in over central Michigan, Pol Veterinary Services is bustling with activity. Dr. Pol and Charles respond to an urgent situation at Gross Dairy Farm, where they must assist a spirited cow suffering from a twisted stomach and an unpleasant odor. Meanwhile, at the clinic, Dr. Pol examines a goat named Ginger and fears she may have polio. Dr. Brenda faces her own emergency when she receives a call about a new heifer at Delbert Garrett's farm, who is dealing with a prolapsed uterus and continues to strain after giving birth.
