As Audrey Bayer puts the final touches on her husband Greg’s 60th birthday celebration—a milestone he’s not eager to embrace—tensions start to surface within their diverse, progressive family. Ramon, their son from Colombia, is grappling with mysterious encounters involving the number “11:11” while navigating a new relationship with Henry, a barista. Duc, adopted from Vietnam, thrives in his successful career as a “motivational architect,” yet his celibacy raises concerns for Audrey. Meanwhile, Ashley, born in Liberia and thriving in the fashion world, is increasingly questioning her marriage to Malcolm. Their youngest, 17-year-old Kristen, feels restless and envious of her siblings' vibrant lives. After a troubling incident at the party, Audrey and Greg decide to take Ramon to see Dr. Farid Shokrani, a therapist who shares an inexplicable bond with him.
