In October 1944, a group of segregated Japanese American soldiers embarks on a daring mission to save a surrounded US battalion amidst the treacherous, trap-laden woods of the Vosges mountains. As the Nazis tighten their grip and resources dwindle, the Nisei troops go to extraordinary lengths to reach their fellow soldiers. Their bravery will remain unrecognized for over fifty years, despite the courage they display in the face of overwhelming odds.
