Following the devastation of Earth, androids Mother and Father establish a new colony on Kepler-22b, nurturing human embryos to create a family. Fast forward twelve years, and only one child, Campion, has survived. When a group of surviving humans known as the Mithraic arrives in an Ark, Mother realizes that this new development poses a significant danger that she must address.
