One day, Himuro Ayame, a talented graduate student from Saitama University's science department, admits her feelings for Yukimura Shinya. Both inexperienced in romance, they find themselves questioning whether what they feel is genuine love. To clarify their emotions, they decide to establish "standard conditions of love." Despite the frustration of their lab underclassman, Kanade, Himuro and Yukimura embark on a quest to scientifically measure the "thrilling palpitations of love" by checking their heart rates during various romantic gestures like "kabedon," "chin-lift," and "sleeve-roll."
