A letter sent home comes back undelivered, leaving the postman unsure what to do. A neighbor steps in to lend a hand. The cat grows restless, and the shopkeeper believes she understands the reason behind its mood. The samurai asks the children at the temple for help, and soon the cat becomes the center of everyone's care and curiosity.
