After a decade of fighting, S-rank mage Luck sacrifices himself to hold off the Demon King, buying time for his hero party to escape. When he finally slays the enemy and returns home, he discovers ten years have passed. The world now hails him as a fallen legend, and his old life is gone. Accepting the loss, Luck hides his true identity, adopts the name “Lock,” and starts over as an F-rank adventurer, carving out a new path in a world that has already moved on.
