Mieczysław Stoor

Mieczysław Stoor (September 5, 1929 – October 5, 1973) was a distinguished Polish film actor known for his contributions to cinema throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Over his career spanning nearly two decades, he appeared in 37 films, showcasing his versatile acting skills.

Stoor began his artistic journey while still a student, making his theatrical debut at the Teatr im. Wojciech Bogusławski in Kalisz on August 18, 1950, where he portrayed the character Stańczyk in the play "Window in the Forest." His passion for acting led him to graduate from the prestigious Acting Department of the PWST in Łódź in 1953. Shortly thereafter, he took on a role at the Universal Theater in Łódź, where he honed his craft during the 1952-1953 season.

Throughout his film career, Stoor's performances were characterized by depth and authenticity, earning him recognition in the Polish film industry. His body of work remains influential, reflecting the rich cultural landscape of post-war Polish cinema.
