Fernando Peixoto

Fernando Amaral dos Guimarães Peixoto, born in Porto Alegre on May 19, 1937, and passing away in São Paulo on January 15, 2012, left an indelible mark on Brazilian arts as a multifaceted creator. A writer, translator, actor, and theater director, his name is closely tied to the legendary Teatro Oficina in São Paulo, where he was an active force until 1968.
