From 1972 to 1981, she served as a presenter on Four Corners, a highly regarded weekly current affairs show known for its in-depth investigative journalism.

Jones continued to expand her influence in the media landscape with her spirituality-centered radio program, The Search For Meaning, which aired on ABC Radio National from 1987 to 1994. Through this platform, she engaged with various individuals, delving into their life stories and personal philosophies.

In 1996, she took on the role of host for Australian Story, a weekly biographical television program on ABC, where she showcased the diverse narratives of everyday Australians.
