Willow Kean

Willow Kean, a native of Labrador West, has built a career as both an actor and a writer. Her creative output includes a number of children's plays, which she co-authored and which have been performed throughout the province. In 2021, her comedy *Supper Club*—a work written for five women—had its debut at the LSPU Hall. Kean's writing has earned her recognition in several literary competitions: she was shortlisted for the Cuffer Prize and longlisted for the NLCU Fresh Fish Award, and in 2018 she received the Percy Janes First Novel Award. She makes her home in St. John's alongside her partner, the filmmaker Justin Simms, and their son, Jude.
