Thương Tín
Bùi Thương Tín (September 14, 1956 - December 8, 2025) was a distinguished Vietnamese actor known for his compelling performances across various mediums. He honed his craft at the Saigon Academy of Performing Arts, where he first made a name for himself in theatre and cải lương. His early career saw him shine alongside Kim Cương in her original productions, establishing him as a prominent leading man.
In the early 1980s, Thương Tín transitioned to film, where he quickly gained national acclaim for his portrayal of Major Lưu Kỳ Vọng in the successful series "Ván bài lật ngửa" (Cards on the Table), which aired from 1982 to 1987. His impressive filmography includes memorable characters such as the bandit leader Bạch Hải Đường in "SBC," Sáu Tâm in the acclaimed series "Biệt Động Sài Gòn," and Tám Thương in "Chiến trường chia nửa vầng trăng."
By 2015, Thương Tín had achieved a remarkable milestone, amassing a record of over 200 feature films, making him one of the most prolific actors in Vietnamese cinema.
